Richmond was invaded by Tiny Tots, Toys and Teddies yesterday for their annual Christmas party in Washbourn Gardens.
There were also a few parents and grandparents accompanying the tiny tots at the Tasman District Council event and they all enjoyed the warm weather, entertainment and activities.
An estimated 400 to 500 people attended the event.
"It was probably the biggest and the busiest one since it started six or seven years ago," council community recreation officer Paul McConachie said. "It's a good formula, there was plenty to do and it's an ideal spot."
Entertainer Kath Bee provided the live music, Flossie the Balloon Lady was busy making balloon sculptures and Sport Tasman's Jenny Dravitzki organised the activities.
Santa also made a brief appearance handing out lollies to a throng of children before going back to his day job.
"He's always a big drawcard but I think he got a little overwhelmed," Mr McConachie said.
