Police want to speak to the driver of a four-wheel-drive after the vehicle collided with a cyclist on Wensley Rd, Richmond at 4.30pm yesterday.
A 15-year-old boy riding a mountain bike was knocked from his bike and suffered a moderate arm injury.
Police spokeswoman Barbara Dunn said it appeared the driver of the four-wheel-drive, which was towing a boat, slowed after the accident but did not stop.
It was possible the driver did not see what had happened as the boy ended up on the ground between two parked cars.
Ms Dunn said the 4WD was described as a late model, black or blue vehicle and the boat it was towing was about 6 metres long and was white or silver. It was a motor boat.
The accident happened on Wensley Rd between Oxford and Dorset streets.
