Wellington's Fuse Circus is coming to Nelson, setting up in the "big top" Energy Centre at Founders Heritage Park.

The show, called Campground Chaos, is inspired by the classic Kiwi summer holiday.

Daily shows will be held from Sunday, December 30 until January 12, at 1pm.

Fuse Circus will also hold one-hour workshops daily at 3pm, teaching aerial circus, acrobatics and juggling.

Tickets are on sale from the Founders Heritage Park Windmill.

Meanwhile, a Christchurch-based fairground run by Christchurch-based JBC Shows that was to come to Nelson will instead go to Kaikoura.

Last summer it was at Auckland Point School, but this year the school's board said it would not allow it on the school grounds.

The show's owner, John Couling, said it had planned to instead set up at the A&P showgrounds in Richmond next month, but had now opted to go to Kaikoura because available dates were more suitable.
