A man has gone missing from Nelson Hospital and police are appealing for help in tracking him down.
Oliver James Adams, 24, disappeared from the hospital's acute mental health unit on Wednesday, December 19. He was last seen in Tahunanui on December 20, after being given a ride there by a friend.
Of solid build, 186 cm tall (6 feet, 1 inch), Adams has short brown hair and was last seen wearing grey shorts, a dark blue T-shirt and white sneakers. He is also believed to be carrying a small back pack, possibly with other clothing in it.
Police and Adams' family hold fears for his safety.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Nelson Police immediately on 03 546 3840.
