The MetService predicts a fine day for Saturday with light winds, afternoon sea breezes and highs of 23 degrees.
Racegoers will be happy to hear a that the sunshine capital is likely to deliver a hot, sunny day for the Interislander Summer Festival at Richmond Park Racecourse on Sunday, with the mercury approaching the 30 degree mark on thermometers.
Sun seekers are recommended to make the most of the fine weather while it lasts, however. Three days of cloud and rain are on the long-term forecast for next week. Wednesday is expected to bring showers and northwesterlies, with similarly gloomy weather predicted for Thursday and Friday.
