A Danish tourist, stung by a wasp while driving in the St Arnaud Nelson Lakes area, has crashed and been injured.
The 49-year-old man was flown to Nelson Hospital by the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter at 3.30pm this afternoon.
A helicopter spokesman said the man is understood to have lost control and rolled the vehicle, sustaining minor injuries.
Initially Department of Conservation staff assisted the man, before the helicopter arrived and the onboard intensive care paramedic was able to treat the man, before transporting him to hospital.
