Eclectic mix at twilight gathering
Sounds as the sun goes down in TakakaCHARLOTTE SQUIRE
Everything from the mysterious fluro colour that appears on cow's backs to Taylor Swift's insistence that she'd never, ever get back together with her ex partner was sung about last night at the Takaka Village Green's Twilight Concert.
Golden Bay recreational coordinator Dave Myall said this was the third of four twilight concerts on the Takaka village green.
Around 100 people gathered to hear Black Billy and the Loose Leaf Tea Band and guest singers play a mix of original and cover songs.
"I really loved the vibe of people and being outside. It's such a stunning environment here. It felt like playing to the family," said Black Billy and the Loose Leaf Tea Band drummer and singer Gabby Hollis.
Children enjoyed face painting and balloon creations while adults sprawled on the grass enjoying the sun and the music.
