Nelson student Holly Parkes, 22, has been named one of seven Kiwis with the most "specs appeal" in a nationwide Specsavers modelling competition judged by broadcaster Kate Hawkesby and Mad Men star Christina Hendricks.
Holly, who says she's "thrilled" with her finalist slot, has won two pairs of glasses from Specsavers, $500 cash, and $500 to be donated to a charity of her choice.
She has chosen the Child Cancer Foundation. "Most families have been affected by cancer in some way, and I really believe that the Child Cancer Foundation does a fantastic job in making life a little bit easier for those going through a rough time," she says.
The winner, who is announced at the end of the month, will receive a trip to Los Angeles with a friend to meet Ms Hendricks, a photoshoot, and a 12-month modelling contract with 62 Models & Talent.
