A woman charged with murder and attempted murder in Nelson has been further remanded to August 30 pending a second psychiatric evaluation.
The charges are in relation to the death of a 57-year-old man who was stabbed at a house in St Anne Pl, near St Vincent St in March.
The 59-year-old woman has been remanded in the custody of the mental health unit at Nelson Hospital.
Lawyer Brett Daniel-Smith said one psychiatrist, viewing a DVD interview, had come to the conclusion that sanity was an issue, and a second psychiatrist would now view the same interview to see whether they came to the same conclusion.
