New traffic lights will be switched on in Nelson tomorrow.
The Nelson City Council is advising motorists to take care as the new traffic signals start operating at the corner of Waimea Rd and Motueka St.
The road layout has changed so motorists are advised to take extra care.
The traffic lights have been installed in an effort to make the intersection safer. It has historically had one of the worst crash rates in the area.
