A man has been airlifted to hospital after severing his fingers in Pohara yesterday afternoon.
The man severely injured his hand whilst using the saw and was attended to by medical staff from the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter at around 12pm.
Due to the nature of his injuries, the man was flown to Hutt Hospital, where he will be assessed and receive further treatments.
