A 24-year-old Blenheim man suffered spinal injuries as a result of a crash from a moped about 11.45pm at Robin Hood Bay, Port Underwood. 

He was assessed at the scene by the helicopters onboard intensive care paramedic before being flown to Wairau Hospital, Blenhiem for furthur assessment.

Earlier in the night the Helicopter was dispatched to Bulwer in the outer Pelorus Sounds for a medical emergency, and transported a woman in her 50s to Nelson Hospital.

At approximately 11.46 this morning the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Torrent Bay in the Abel Tasman National Park, where a 54-year-old man, from Hawera, sustained a head injury as a result of slipping and falling on a boat.  The man was flown to Nelson Hospital for furthur treatment.
