Summer adventuring is not just about the two-legged human species having all the fun out and about, a four-legged friend is in for the ride too.
Rupert, a 12-year-old jack russell, has been out adventuring since he was a wee pup of just six months. He will often be cruising around town on his home-made platform and harness attached to the front of his owner Emma Angelo's bike.
Ms Angelo said Rupert is a keen sportsman. He has his own miniature life jacket so he can ride the waves on her paddle board and he used to ride on the motorbike, and still has a special seat on the Vespa for around the city.
Rupert can sometimes get a bit aloof always being taken out, but overall he loved it, said Ms Angelo, but she wished he had a little more protection.
"Unfortunately they don't make helmets for dogs," she said.
Ms Angelo said Rupert got into all sort of trouble harassing the neighbour's cat, chasing bees, and being prickled by hedgehogs. But underneath he was a big softie afraid of spiders and bugs and liking big cuddles.
