The Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce is hosting two business lunches this week, including one with Minister of Trade Tim Groser on Friday.
Tomorrow it will host the Crowe Horwath Women in Business Chamber Luncheon at the Rutherford Hotel, with guest speaker Janine Smith, who is principal of The Boardroom Practice. She is also director of the Bank of New Zealand, director of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra and director of The Warehouse Group.
The chamber of commerce has worked with the local office of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise to confirm a visit by Groser, who will speak to local business people at Friday's lunch.
He is also associate Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Climate Change.
"Given that exporting is such a key driver of our economy it is a fantastic opportunity for people in business to hear about how the Government's efforts support exporters, learn about emerging markets, and gain insights into how world markets view us, chamber of commerce chief executive Dot Kettle said.
