A man who cut his fingers with a skill saw has been airlifted to Nelson Hospital.
The Karamea man had been cutting wood when cut into his fingers, said Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter spokesman.
He was initially treated at the Karamea medical centre before being assessed by the helicopter Intensive Care Paramedic.
He was flown in a stable condition to Nelson Hospital at noon today for further treatment.
