Competition leaders WTTU will enjoy home-ground advantage for the first time tomorrow when they host Wanderers to begin round four of the Car Company Nelson two-day cricket series.

Sprig and Fern WTTU lead the competition on 17 points, with just two rounds remaining before the scheduled two-day final on December 19-20. They're just two points clear of both Motueka and Car Company Stoke-Nayland, but will face Taylors Contracting Wanderers at Jubilee Park tomorrow.

Wanderers and Wakatu share fourth place on 12 points, with Waimea College in sixth place on five.

Wakatu are at home to a Motueka side stung by last weekend's near miss against Stoke-Nayland, while Waimea College face another tough assignment against Stoke-Nayland at Saxton Oval, which is also in use for the first time this season.

Wanderers batsman Chris Bartholomeuz heads both the aggregates and averages as the leading batsman after three rounds of the Nelson two-day club competition.

His huge 186-run innings against Waimea College in round three pushed him to 231 runs after just two innings this season, with Motueka opener Kurt Pahl second on 189 runs.

Motueka left-arm seamer Sam Hedges is the competition's leading wicket taker with nine, just one clear of Stoke-Nayland all-rounder Duane Valentine.
