Nelson's Cameron Ford (under-15 boys) brought home three medals, winning silver in the 500m time trial and bronze in the 2000m scratch race and 750m derby.
Ford's brother Kristoff (under-17 boys) won silver in the 515 scratch race, and Tom Nicholson (under-17 boys) won bronze in the sprint.
The Tasman sprint team of Kristoff Ford, Nicholson and Daniel Ellison showed impressive form to be in bronze medal position for the team sprint finals before a mechanical malfunction on one of their bikes going into the last lap scuttled their hopes for a medal.
The Tasman team, who emerged as one of the most competitive teams at the championships, included Nelson riders Cameron and Kristoff Ford, Nicholson, Layton Murdoch, Ellison, Roger Matheson and Grant Jones.
