What's red and white and in urgent need of help?
The Waimea Old Boys women's rugby teams, that's what.
Waimea has entered two teams in this weekend's Women's Sevens Challenge but have come up short of players due to illness, injury, work commitments . . . even pregnancy.
Now club spokeswoman Emma McCashin has sent out a desperate SOS to any women who might be able to fill a gap - well, seven gaps - for this weekend's tournament.
Ideally, she says, the candidates will have played some rugby or touch but Waimea is happy to talk to anyone who is keen.
Willing players can email McCashin, firstname.lastname@example.org, or call her on 03 547 5357.
Saturday's Women's Sevens Challenge features teams from Stoke and Marist, alongside the two Waimea Old Boys' sides.
The first round of play is at 2pm, the second at 2.30pm and the tournament winds up after the final round at 3pm. All games will be played at Greenmeadows in Stoke.
There will be three more rounds of rugby after this weekend's tournament.
