Tasman men's and women's representative spots are up for grabs when the Turf Hotel Tasman club sevens tournament kicks off in Motueka on Sunday.
Ten teams will contest the men's division, which will be played in two pools, with four women's teams contesting a round-robin competition before the finals at Sports Park Motueka.
In the men's competition, Huia, Stoke, Riwaka, Nelson B and Wanderers will contest pool A, with Waimea Old Boys, Nelson College, Marist, defending champions Nelson A and Blenheim's sole competing team, Central, in pool B.
The women's competition includes Waimea 1, Stoke, Waimea 2 and Marist.
The tournament will also help Tasman men's selector Mike Kerrisk and women's selectors Shaun Begg and Cyril Collier confirm their respective extended 21-player squads to prepare for the South Island tournament in Timaru on November 24.
Play kicks off tomorrow at 11am, with the semifinals scheduled for 3.30pm and the women's final at 4.10pm, followed by the men's final at 4.40pm.
