Families in Touch

The Families in Touch of F.i.T touch module will stage its first games on Tuesday January 15, 2013. Most teams comprise two or three families, averaging 10 players. Ages range from four to 50 plus and most teams are mixed gender. Remember this is a carefree type of competition, with parents as role models, teaching young and inexperienced players the basics of Touch in a less stressful situation.

Christmas get-together

The final games for the year will be tomorrow for the Tuesday module and December 20 for the Thursday module. After the last Thursday games there will be a Touch Christmas Party at the Turf Hotel, Main Road, Stoke. Come along, make merry and support the Turf which supports us and the weekly Touch modules.

The Draw

You will find the draw right here, every week on the Touch Page in the Sports section of the Nelson Mail. This is the final round for 2012.

Nelson Module cancellation notices will be posted on Facebook and on the local radio stations. Radio announcements will be after 2pm for the Nelson module. A reminder, any decisions to cancel any senior module nights will not be made until after 2pm. Please respect this and do not contact the module coordinator before that time.

It is great to see a lot more younger refs coming through and showing an interest in this vital part of the game. If you are also interested in a bit of whistle blowing, full support and training is provided. Contact is Steve Petrie Ph 027 391 8033.
