MAIN CHANCE: David Havili will try out for the national under-20 squad.

Nelson's David Havili will join Marlborough Boys' College First XV props Atu Moli and Bevan Moody as Tasman's selections for next month's New Zealand under-20 rugby trial camp in Palmerston North.

The Tasman trio are among 46 triallists - involving a 26-forward, 20-back split - invited to attend the five-day camp from March 13-17, with the ultimate prize being selection in the New Zealand under-20 team to contest this year's IRB Junior World Cup to be held around the Auckland region in June.

Former Nelson College First XV captain and halfback and current Crusaders Super 15 squad member Mitchell Drummond has also been included in the 46-player squad.

Havili, also a former Nelson College First XV player, has progressed through the senior club ranks with Nelson as a utility back to also earn selection for Nelson Bays and the Tasman under-20s, White Pointers and sevens teams.

Last week, he was also named alongside fellow Tasman players Mitchell Scott, Jesse MacDonald and Mike Wells in this year's Crusaders Knights squad.

Moli and Moody were both members of last season's Press Cup-winning Marlborough team.

This year's Junior World Cup starts on June 2, with the final scheduled for Eden Park on June 20. Played in three pools of four, New Zealand will contest pool C alongside Samoa, South Africa and Scotland.
