An Israeli illusionist has broken the record of American magician David Blaine by spending 66 hours in an eight-tonne block of ice.
Hezi Dean emerged at midnight on December 31 after spending nearly three days in the ice cube in Tel Aviv, news agency AFP reported.
The 29-year-old wore only jeans and a T-shirt during his ordeal.
AFP reported Dean appeared weak as he was cut out of the ice block and taken to an ambulance.
Around 200 people celebrated the beginning of the new decade with Dean.
American illusionist Blaine spent 63 hours in an ice cube in New York's Times Square in 2000.
