In a twist of fate, a group of Swedish Weight Watchers clients got the fright of their lives when the floor of their meeting room collapsed around them.
The 20 participants had gathered at the clinic in in Vaxjo in south-central Sweden on Thursday morning for a weigh-in when the floor gave way, Swedish newspaper The Local reported.
"We suddenly heard a huge thud; we almost thought it was an earthquake and everything flew up in the air. The floor collapsed in one corner of the room and along the walls," a participant said.
Then floor then began to fall away in other parts of the room before the smell of sewage began to waft in.
No to be deterred however, the group forged ahead with their planned weigh-in, simply moving the scales to a nearby corridor to check on their progress.
No one was injured in the incident, which is under investigation.
Weight Watchers are now searching for another facility.
