Lap dances for Haiti

Scantily clad dancers were the draw at a US downtown men's entertainment club over the weekend, for an event that raised funds for Haiti.
''Lap Dances for Haiti'' raised nearly $US1000 (NZ$1464) for victims of the earthquake.
General Manager Kenny Soprano said the club donated all the money from the day's regular $US10 cover charge to the charity International Services of Hope.
Soprano said he had been considering a charity fund-raiser before the Haiti earthquake as a way to polish the club's image.
''We'd been racking our brains for about a month or so, thinking about what we could do,'' he said. ''You don't hear much about strip clubs giving back to the community.''
