Lady Luck was not on the side of a Masterton woman after her lost wallet turned up at the local police station - complete with a small stash of drugs.
A good citizen found the wallet on a roadside and handed it to police. Officers went through it, looking for identification, only to discover a tinnie of cannabis inside.
The wallet's owner, meanwhile, turned up at the police station, but her relief at hearing it had been found quickly turned to embarrassment when the drugs were mentioned.
She was charged with possession of cannabis and is to appear in court this month.
