A 91-year-old United States woman is planning to do some travelling after beating astronomical odds to win two big lottery payouts in the past three months.
Lena Eaton, from Indianapolis, won US$300,000 (NZ$367,000) in August with a Quick Draw ticket. Last week the great grandmother claimed another US$99,999 (NZ$122,000) at the Hoosier Lottery headquarters by turning in a winning Scorchin' Hot 9s scratch-off ticket.
The Indianapolis Star reports the odds of winning both are one in 5.7 trillion.
Eaton told lottery officials she had already started some home improvements after her US$300,000 August win. With her second big win, the longtime lottery player plans to indulge herself and do some travelling.
She also says "it's a pleasure" being able to financially help her six children, 16 grandchildren and more than 20 great grandchildren.
