The FBI says a would-be bank robber has been busted after her son recognised her in wanted photos released by US police.
MLive.com reported that the man rang police after spotting his mother in surveillance images, telling them she was there at home with him in Kent County's Byron Township.
Authorities said 53-year-old Dee Ann Sanders was charged with robbing a Bank of America branch on June 18.
A teller said the robber handed her a note demanding US$2,500 for her children and grandchildren. She got $1,092.
Surveillance photos showed a woman wearing a bright red T-shirt with a large American flag on the front.
FBI special agent Adam Van Deuren said Sanders later confessed to the crime.
