There's not much we allow to get in the way of our sport. So when a pitch invader holds up play, it can be pretty annoying.

That is unless the pitch invader is of the furry or feathered variety.

The world learned what a pine marten was last week as the furry weasel-type creature interrupted a football match in Zurich, Switzerland.

At the Black Caps test against England, currently playing out at the Basin Reserve, a lonely duck has been holding up play while taking position in outfield.

When it's an animal, it's cute and often hilarious – so we thought there could be no better Friday Funny this week than "when animals invade".
