A farmer and security guard caught four males poaching on land they were not permitted to be on.
Southern District Command Centre deployment co-ordinator Senior Sergeant Dave Scott said the group were co-operative with the farmers who patrolled the area and waited for police to arrive.
Two of the hunting party were found to be poaching and the "ill-gotten pigs" they had caught and firearms they had were seized.
