Otago man dies after tractor rolls

A 59-year-old man was killed when the tractor he was driving rolled several times down a bank today.

The man was raking hay on a rural property near Roxburgh, Central Otago, at about 5pm when the accident happened.

Fire, police and ambulance attended the accident but the man died as a result of his injuries.

His name will not be released until his family members have been advised.

The matter has been referred to the Coroner and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
