A Southland company has been named the New Zealand Cavalier Homes franchisee of the year.
Kerry Butson, who owns the Cavalier Homes Southland franchise with his son Mark, said the honour usually went to franchises further north.
Mr Butson said having a good product and giving good service were the key to keep things "trucking along quite nicely".
Mr Butson and his son have owned the franchise for almost four years, and he said the last couple of years had been busy for the company.
