Shining on under a new name
Silvermoon's Invercargill store has been sold but will reopen under new management and the new name Moonshine.
Managing director Simon Thwaiges said it would close on June 30 and then be re-branded after Grant Henderson takes over on July 1.
Mr Thwaiges and Mr Henderson had previously owned Silvermoon together but the partnership split when Mr Henderson set up Moonshine in Dunedin.
Christchurch-based Mr Thwaiges said he sold Silvermoon back to Mr Henderson, based in Dunedin, because it was logistically easier for him to run it.
Mr Henderson said Moonshine would sell similar products and carry some of the same lines.
Silvermoon vouchers, cards and loyalty rewards would still be valid after June 30 but would not be able to be redeemed at the Invercargill store.
