Former Invercargill woman Kristie Malone has been managing popular Wellington cafe Fidel's for the past few years. On Sunday night she took home two awards in the Capital Awards.
The awards, held annually, are Wellington's premier hospitality awards.
Fidel's won the San Pellegrino Outstanding Cafe section and the Hancocks Wine, Spirits & Beer Merchants Outstanding Local Establishment section.
