Four Southern accommodation providers have been recognised with regional awards run by the Trade Me accommodation website Travelbug.
The awards recognise excellent performance by accommodation operators based on the number of bookings made at each property, the quality of guest feedback and the overall quality of their Travelbug listing.
The Mercure Queenstown Resort, LivingSpace Invercargill, Edgewater Motel in Te Anau, and The Victoria Hotel in Dunedin were each Best In Region award winners.
It was the second consecutive year LivingSpace and The Victoria Hotel won the award.
Trade Me head of travel Daniel Bridges said winning the award for the second time showed a consistent level of all-round service.
''This level of service and competition is great for the operators, but it also helps promote New Zealand as a great place for tourists to stay when visiting from around the world,'' Mr Bridges said.
The top award in the national competition went to the Ibis Budget Hotel at Auckland Airport.
