The Wanaka Ale House has been placed in receivership but the receivers are confident a buyer will be found in the near future.
The lakefront restaurant and bar, which employed about a dozen fulltime equivalent staff, went into receivership on March 26.
The receiver, Murray Frost, of Deloitte in Dunedin, said expressions of interest in buying the business were first sought on Saturday and two had already been received.
"I am pretty confident we will find someone at an acceptable price. I am sure there will be quite a lot of interest in it. It's an exceptional location and Wanaka has a lot going for it."
The deadline for expressions of interest is April 15 and it would be business as usual at the bar, on the corner of Ardmore and Dungarvon streets, in the meantime.
The sole director of the business is Stephen Laing, of Queenstown.
