Top employees honoured
A group of Invercargill employees were recognised for going ''above and beyond'' the call of duty at the Invercargill Sunrise Rotary Club Pride in Workmanship Awards.
Six workers from a diverse range of city businesses were honoured at the Rotary organised breakfast this morning.
Invercargill Sunrise Rotary Club president Graeme Hegan said award was designed to acknowledge an employee, irrespective of age or vocation, who, in the eyes of his or her employer, displays outstanding qualities in approach, attitude, dedication and commitment to his or her job.
Employees were nominated by either their employer or a rotary member for going above and beyond their job expectations, he said.
There had been a diverse range of businesses represented by the nominated employees, he said.
''The nominees include people working in the court to the copy business.''
The six awards winners were Kathleen Flynn from Vet4Farm, Noelle Everett from H & J Smith, Kerry Coburn from the Family Court, Chrissy Alush from McCallums Drycleaning, Hollie Cooper from Quantum Print and Roderick Hall from Ivan Bulling.
