Two-time Tui award nominee Mel Parsons loves hanging out with the Bitches - not only is it loads of fun but the audience gets a complete show, she said.
Fresh from Melbourne and about to embark on a tour of Northland before heading back over the ditch, the double billing has something for everyone.
"It's cool to be part of something that is more than just a music show and more than just a theatre show. We feel like we're giving people a real night of entertainment."
With two solo albums out and another on the way, Parsons was part of the Fly My Pretties cast last year, and joined them again at the Queenstown Blues and Roots festival last month.
She loves touring with The Bitches' Box - Amelia Dunbar and Emma Newborn - "it's loads of fun, we have such a great time".
The shows are separate shows within one billing, but the style of music she performs fits in with the rural theme, she said.
"It's a folky, country style and I chat throughout the set. It's been a good balance."
