New Zealand record label Flying Nun is back in the hands of founder Roger Shepherd. Shepherd has regained label ownership from Warner Music after "18 fraught months of legal hoo-ha".
Warner Music will be the exclusive distribution partner for Flying Nun. Shepherd formed Flying Nun in 1981 while working in a Christchurch record store.
It became New Zealand's most influential label.
