Gore pupils 'buzzing'
Six members of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra are spending the week with Gore Main School pupils.
They are working on a new school song, teaching them different instruments and putting together a concert for the end of the week as part of an outreach programme.
The orchestra members have been visiting other schools and childcare centres during the week but are based at Gore Main School.
It is the second time they have undertaken a residency programme at a school, outreach co-ordinator Cathy Irons said, with the first taking place in Westport.
Principal Mary Miller said it was an amazing opportunity for the pupils and they were all buzzing.
