Invercargill real estate agent Jack Fraser was coy yesterday, following his appearance on Sunday night's New Zealand's Got Talent, in which he crooned his way to the next round.
Fraser performed Feeling Good - a Nina Simone original, covered by popular artist Michael Buble - and said he was pleased overall with the reactions from judges Rachel Hunter, Jason Kerrison and Ali Campbell.
He was under strict instructions not to give interviews, he said, but added that he had always loved to sing and had been doing it seriously for about six years.
Mr Fraser has appeared in numerous productions in Southland in the past few years, including Hayfever and The Sound of Music in Invercargill and Les Miserables in Gore in 2010.
New Zealand's Got Talent came to Invercargill in May with host Tamati Coffey, who said then he was impressed with the variety down south, which included jugglers and an Elvis impersonator.
The next segment airs on Sunday at 7.30pm on TV One.
