Another year of arts and crafts is looking promising as the 36th annual show in Waikaka prepares to open next month.
Organiser Frances Calvert said more than 70 exhibitors were expected this year at the Waikaka Centennial Hall with a whole spectrum of jewellery, leadwork, painting and pottery on display.
The variety of art meant people would have lots of choices for Christmas shopping, she said.
Artist featured this year come from around the country although several are from Southland and Otago. Guest artist this year will be Tuatapere-based painter Janet de Wagt.
The show opens on Friday, November 9 at 8.30pm and runs from November 10 to 14, 1pm to 5pm daily.
Entry is $5 or $10 for the family.
