The Southern District Arts Trust is putting on the pantomime Bobby Shafto next weekend, with a Tokanui cast of 16 singing hits from a range of eras.
The script - about a young, penniless man who wants to marry above his station in life - was sourced and adapted by Marj Smith.
Director Kristie Simpson said the cast this year was a great mix of people who had been involved before, as well as some new participants. "And, as always, lots of audience participation."
The show runs at the Tokanui Hall on Friday, November 30, at 7.30pm; and Saturday, December 1, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets are $12 for adults; and $5 for children on Friday. Tickets on Saturday are $15 for adults. The price includes supper.
Tickets are available from Waimahaka Garage or the Tokanui shop.
