Nominations are being sought for the 2013 Southland Entertainment Awards.
The Southland Musicians Club's annual awards show, which recognises the achievements of top musical performers, will be held at the Civic Theatre, Invercargill, on March 20. Last year's show broke new ground by incorporating Invercargill Musical Theatre, the Southland Piping and Drumming Trust and the Ascot Park Brass Band, who performed and presented awards to their premier acts.
The 2012 show has been rescheduled from its usual October-November slot until early next year to move it away from the Christmas season and to allow performances from throughout the calendar year to be eligible. Nominations are for the following categories: Southland Entertainer of the Year.

Drummer of the Year,
Bass player of the Year.
Keyboardist of the Year.
Guitarist of the Year.
Band of the Year.
