A summery 29degC is forecast for this evening's Kiwi music concert in the Gibbston Valley near Queenstown.

Wellington seven-piece dub reggae band, Fat Freddy's Drop, is headlining this year's Winery Tour.

They will be supported by songbirds Anika Moa, Boh Runga and Hollie Smith performing together, The Adults, which comprises several of the country's most talented musicians, and New Zealand's Got Talent winner Clara van Wel.

The concert, at Waitiri Creek winery, starts at 5.30pm.

This year's tour has already visited eight North Island venues, including sell out shows at Matakana and Havelock North.

In the South Island, the musicians have so far played at Waipara in Canterbury and Dunedin.

From Queenstown, they will perform two shows in Nelson, one of which has already sold out, and one in Blenheim, before returning to the North Island for concerts in Tauranga, Auckland and Hamilton.

A tour spokesperson said tickets sales for the Gibbston Valley show have been strong but there would be gate sales available.
