Illusionist Elgregoe is touring the country, sharing his anti-bullying message, and yesterday it was pupils at Edendale Primary School who had the opportunity to be both entertained and educated.

Elgregoe (Greg Britt) is known as one of New Zealand's top school performers and has been awarded a Member of the NZ Order of Merit for services to education.

Elgregoe has appeared on television hundreds of times and in thousands of live shows over the years but the decision to combine magic and education came after a friend, who was a school principal, said if Elgregoe were a real magician he would be able to make bullying disappear.

After researching the issue of bullying in schools and talking to teachers and friends he created his interactive magic show, which aims to challenge children to have a good attitude at school.
