New Zealand has gone one better than its "ghost chips" driving safety ad, with a hilarious new drug-driving ad.

The advertisement, called Blazed and directed by Boy's Taika Waititi, was described by Buzzfeed as a "wonderful little stoner play" featuring three Maori children.

They debate whose dad was the funniest drug-driver, each taking their turn mimicking them.

"Check out this cheeky fella - looks just like me!" one said, playing with the rear-view mirror.

"Which street do I live on again?" asked another.

"Light's green, bro."

A writer from Gizmodo said he would rather watch this two-minute ad than "Dude, Where's My Car?"

Buzzfeed said it was an "instant Advertising Hall of Fame Drugs PSA classic".
