An Invercargill filmmaker is one of 15 finalists in this year's short film festival Tropfest New Zealand.
Two Guns and A funeral is directed by Joel Garman, who was a previous Topfest finalist last year with the drama Tunnel.
Garman has a degree in Digital Media from SIT and his passion is cinematography.
His film, along with 15 others, will screen live in New Plymouth on February 16.
Tropfest New Zealand Trust chief executive Suzanne Porter said: "There is a diverse range of great shorts covering genres from mockumentary, comedy, action and drama to animation and music video.''
The jury panel for Tropfest NZ 2014 will comprise of industry professionals from around New Zealand, with the films judged live on the night.
The 15 selected films and their filmmakers will vie for the first prize, winning a five-day trip to Los Angeles to meet film executives, sponsored by the New Zealand Screen Association and Motion Picture Association.
