West Otago Health Trust and the Hokanui Music Festival Committee have joined together to put on a country music festival for the community as a combined fundraiser.
The Tapanui community centre will be filled with the sounds of guitars and strong voices this Sunday as it hosts the country music festival.
The Health Trust are fundraising money for the new Tapanui Medical Centre and the Festival committee are raising funds for the the Hokonui Music Festival.
Performers will include a range of Eastern Southland entertainers, including Jenny Mitchell, Peter Cairns and Helen van der Linden.
The artists are from The Gore country music club, the Lower Mataura country music club and the Clutha country music club.
Hokonui Music Festival secretary Alan Ritchie said the event will be a great day out for families.
The event begins at 1.30pm and aims to finish at 4.30pm. Entry for adults is $15 and children under 15 are $5.
