Meryl Streep's "second career" as a rapper "beckons", according to co-star James Corden.
Streep will share the screen with the English actor in the forthcoming fantasy-comedy film Into The Woods.
Streep plays The Witch, who conspires to teach lessons to storybook characters including Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Cinderella.
Condon says the Oscar-winner has been learning new skills to perfect her character.
"She's less an Eminem, more a 50 Cent type. Mainstream with an edge," Condon has told the British newspaper The Sun.
Fans might be surprised at Streep's lyrical talents, he added.
Streep could certainly have received a few tips from 50 Cent back in January, when the pair were seen together enjoying a basketball game in New York.
The Candy Shop rapper later uploaded a picture on Instagram, captioning it: "Things got a little gangsta. Lol TURN UP, Turn Down for what!#smsaudio."
Streep has yet to elaborate on reports of her rap skills.
Rob Marshall is directing Into The Woods, which has an A-list cast that also includes Anna Kendrick (Cinderella), Johnny Depp (The Wolf), Emily Blunt (the Baker's Wife), Chris Pine (Cinderella's Prince) and Christine Baranski (Cinderella's Stepmother).
