General non-fiction
In The Greatest Show on Earth Richard Dawkins argues that the theory of evolution is not a theory at all, but scientific fact.
He sets his argument out clearly, with careful evidence and clear, linear debate that makes the book very easy for a non-scientific person to understand and follow.
He begins with arguing his premise that evolution is fact rather than theory and expands outwards from there, discussing the evolution of – not just humans – but all kinds of animals, birds and plant species.
The Greatest Show on Earth makes for an interesting read, no matter what your belief system.
